Relax. We can help!
Dental anxiety is surprisingly common, and many people postpone necessary dental work due to their fears. At Creekview Dental, we have the tools and knowledge to help! Dr. Blackwell completed advanced training in Conscious Sedation Dentistry in 2014, through the US Air Force, and has been working with patients with severe dental phobias ever since. We offer multiple levels of sedation to fit every budget and level of fear.
Inhaled Sedation
Inhaled sedation with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a great choice for those who need to be fully functional after a procedure. It reduces anxiety in both adults and children, leaving you awake but relaxed throughout your treatment. Afterwards, we use oxygen to flush the effects of the nitrous oxide, and you are ready to go on with your day with no lingering sleepiness or drugged feeling.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is an excellent option for those who prefer longer appointments with more procedures done at once, and for those with more severe dental anxiety. You will be conscious and able to respond to instructions, but may sleep off and on throughout the appointment. For oral sedation, you must have someone drive you to your appointment and home, and stay with you for the rest of the day.
