Dr. Haag offers onlays because he has a different philosophy than most dentists and chooses to offer minimally invasive dentistry whenever possible. He conserves tooth structure whenever possible because the original tooth structure is superior to any man-made material. An onlay is more conservative than a crown and is an excellent treatment option for patients who have a cracked or broken tooth that cannot be restored with a filling, but is not damaged enough to require a crown.
Dr. Haag custom fabricates each onlay in the dental office using his CEREC machine and then bonds them into place the same day.

Sometimes a crown is necessary to fix a tooth that is severely cracked or broken or when you need to replace a very large silver filling. Dr. Haag custom fabricates most crowns in the office using his CEREC machine. Our crowns are all porcelain which results in more healthy, beautiful and natural-looking teeth. Our CEREC crowns are BPA and metal-free. Crowns are also created and bonded in place in one visit. Same day dentistry makes it convenient to repair, restore or enhance your smile!
