What Should You Expect On Your First Visit?
We are, undoubtedly, in the business of teeth but more importantly, we are in the business of people. We not only care about your dental concerns, but we care about YOU.
If your first visit at our office is for a Comprehensive New Patient appointment it might be different than your experience at other offices. You will first have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Haag and Debbie our treatment coordinator in our consultation room. We will invite you to share your dental needs, wants and past experiences. We will also review your medical and dental history and discuss your budget and insurance benefits so we can formulate a specific treatment plan to accommodate all of your goals related to your dental health and aesthetics.
Next, we will move to one of our treatment rooms where we will take any necessary Digital X-rays. This is followed by a comprehensive examination performed by Dr. Haag. This exam includes use of our Intra-Oral Digital Camera followed by a visual assessment and VELscope oral cancer screening to determine the current condition of your teeth, gums and soft tissue. Most patients will not have their teeth cleaned at this appointment. We typically schedule you to return to our office for the appropriate gum care and teeth cleaning. A treatment plan for any other necessary dental work will be presented and discussed with you at that time. We want to be sure to have enough time to answer all of your questions.
