To Our Creekview Dental Friends,

We are writing to share some exciting news about the future of Creekview Dental. After much consideration, we have decided to transition ownership of the practice to Dr. Brian Blackwell, a highly skilled and compassionate dentist who shares our commitment to exceptional patient care. This decision has come with many emotions – from excitement at this next phase of life to sadness at leaving our patients that mean so much to us. This transition will take effect Friday, April 18th.  We wish we could say “goodbye” to everyone personally, but that’s just not possible.

We are leaving you in great hands! Dr. Blackwell brings a wealth of experience and a friendly, patient-focused approach that perfectly aligns with the values we have built since 1993. To ensure a smooth transition, we have been working closely with Dr. Blackwell. We’ve enjoyed this time with him and are pleased to leave the practice in such capable hands. We are confident he will continue to provide the same high-quality care you have come to expect. We look forward to seeing Creekview Dental thrive under Dr. Blackwell’s leadership.

Please rest assured that there will be minimal changes to the services provided. There will only be minor changes to scheduled appointments, since Dr. Blackwell will actually expand hours of operation to Monday 8 – 5, Tuesday 7 – 4, Wednesday 8 – 5 and Thursday 7 – 4.

Dr Blackwell’s Creekview Dental team will include:

  • Hannah and Gracie, our current wonderful assistants. Gracie has been with us for almost 3 years and Hannah over a year. Their friendly smiles and amazing attitudes ensure you always feel welcome!
  • Meagan, full-time Dental Hygienist we hired in March. She has over 20 years of experience and looks forward to taking care of you at your next dental cleaning.
  • Claire, Patient Care Coordinator we hired in March. She has been working closely with Debbie and Janis to learn our systems and has quickly become a valued member of the team.

This wonderful team will be dedicated to making your visits comfortable and stress-free while continuing to provide optimum dental care for your oral health needs.

Janis will also be retiring. We are extremely grateful for her exceptional patient care, loyalty and friendship for over 27 years!

We sincerely thank you for trusting us with your dental care and being such an important part of the Creekview Dental family. It has truly been an honor, a privilege and a joy to care for you the last 31 years! We will miss seeing you and your smiles.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Haag & Debbie Haag

We are excited for you to meet Dr. Blackwell and experience his exceptional care firsthand! We asked him to tell you about himself so you can get to know him prior to coming into our office.

Hello to the wonderful patients at Creekview Dental!

I am honored to have the opportunity to provide your dental care at Creekview Dental. As the new owner and dentist, my primary goal is to maintain the high standard of care you’ve come to expect. With a commitment to personalized, compassionate treatment, I am excited to continue serving you and the Woodbury community. I look forward to building lasting relationships with you and all of our patients, while offering the latest in dental advancements to keep your smile healthy.  I am so thankful to Dr. Haag and his wife Debbie for this opportunity and for their support as we have been transitioning the practice. Thank you for trusting Creekview Dental with your oral health—we’re excited to continue to be part of your journey!

I look forward to meeting you in person, but I would like to briefly introduce myself and tell you about my background: I was born and raised in the Montana outdoors and love fishing, skiing, and simply being in nature. I also enjoy cooking and grilling and am always experimenting in the kitchen. My wife also works in healthcare, and we have 3 lively young boys!  I love the science and art of dentistry and trained with great mentors at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.  Before my time at the University of Minnesota, the path to dental school was full of great and varied experiences, many of them in the military: After high school, I enlisted in the US Army, during which time I deployed to Iraq.  Afterwards, I completed my undergraduate training at Montana State University in Bozeman, during which I also served in the Montana Army National Guard. I served in the US Air Force after dental school and now continue to serve in the Minnesota Air National Guard.

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and am passionate about continuing education and learning about the latest treatment advances. I completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through the US Air Force after dental school. After residency I practiced as a general dentist in the Air Force and then worked in my hometown of Billings, Montana, before relocating to Minnesota in 2021 and practicing in St. Paul.

I am committed to providing complete oral care and believe in preventive practices to reduce oral issues in the future. I am continually learning and refining my skills in the treatment of all aspects of dental disease.  Like Dr. Haag, I provide comprehensive dentistry to my patients and perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges, root canal therapy, extractions, implant placement, implant restoration, and bone/tissue grafting, along with many other dental services. Additionally, I will be certified to provide Invisalign treatment to help with tooth alignment and Conscious Sedation to help patients with dental anxiety.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule your next appointment, please feel free to text or call 651-738-8204 or email admin@CreekviewDental.com. (Please note the new email address!)

My team and I look forward to seeing you soon!
