- Your age. The adolescent years are ideal for Invisalign treatment because the teeth are easier to move when you are still growing. Adult treatment can take longer because the teeth are more set in place and are more difficult to move.
How Does Invisalign Compare to Braces?
On average, Invisalign takes less time than braces to straighten teeth. Braces treatment typically takes between 1 and 3 years, where Invisalign treatment is often less than a year and no more than a year and a half. The primary reason for this is that patients who are eligible for Invisalign treatment have milder cases. There are some orthodontic conditions that Invisalign can’t treat, which will most likely require braces and may take longer to correct.
